Color Masterbatch Major Supplier Selected as Shandong Province Champion!
The Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology recently announced the proposed recognition list for the ninth batch of Shandong Province Manufacturing Single Champions. The core product of Shandong Jinhai Titanium Resources Technology Co., Ltd., rutile titanium dioxide, successfully made the list. This recognition signifies that the company's technical strength and market position in the titanium dioxide subfield have received provincial-level authoritative recognition.
As a key enterprise under the Lubei Enterprise Group, Jinhai Titanium Industry has been deeply engaged in the titanium dioxide production field for many years, consistently focusing on technological innovation as its core development principle. The company has broken away from traditional production constraints and developed an innovative process route using "reduced titanium to replace iron powder for titanium solution reduction." This technology not only fills a gap in the provincial industry but also reaches a leading domestic level, setting a new technological benchmark for the green and efficient production of titanium dioxide. It is reported that the production line with an annual output of 100,000 tons of rutile-type titanium dioxide built based on this process is also equipped with the country's first single-line capacity 100Kt/a titanium dioxide rotary kiln, achieving dual breakthroughs in production scale and technological level.
According to information from the Color Masterbatch Industry Network, Jinhai Titanium Industry has established a stable cooperative relationship with the College of Chemical Engineering at Yantai University by deepening the collaborative innovation mechanism of industry, academia, and research, and jointly promoting the research and development of high-end titanium dioxide products. The two parties are focusing on directional technical breakthroughs for ink-specific titanium dioxide R6688. By optimizing the coating process parameters, they systematically enhance key indicators such as product dispersibility, particle size distribution, hardness, and hiding power, ultimately adjusting the product's base to a neutral yellow hue, making it more suitable for the application needs of the high-end ink market.
In terms of existing product upgrades, the R6658 titanium dioxide specifically designed for plastic and masterbatch has effectively controlled the formation of large particles through the optimization of the middle powder process, significantly improving product dispersibility. The core indicators such as filtration pressure value and melt index have both achieved breakthroughs. It has now been successfully supplied to major domestic masterbatch production bases such as Meilian and Hongmei, becoming an important supporting material for the upgrade of the masterbatch industry.
The construction of technology innovation platforms provides strong momentum for enterprise development. The Binzhou Enterprise Technology Center, created by Jinhai Titanium Industry, has developed a multi-level innovation system. It not only undertakes the practical education functions of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Shandong University but has also been approved as the Chemical Decomposition and Comprehensive Utilization Engineering Research Center for Gypsum in the Petrochemical Industry and as a research base for the Taishan Leading Talent Project. Additionally, it has collaborated with the group to establish a provincial-level enterprise technology center. These platforms integrate top scientific research resources in the industry, providing important carriers for the transformation of technological achievements. Jinhai Titanium Industry also excels in the field of industry standards formulation. In recent years, it has led or participated in the drafting of more than 10 national industry standards, including "Titanium Dioxide for the Paper Industry," "Titanium Dioxide for Chemical Fibers," and "Titanium Dioxide for Cosmetics." It has also played a key role in the formulation of environmental disposal standards for waste sulfuric acid and acid hydrolysis residues, providing important technical support for the standardized development of the titanium dioxide industry.

This selection as a provincial manufacturing single champion will further enhance Jinhai Titanium Industry's brand influence in the titanium dioxide field. The company stated that it will continue to focus on technological innovation and product upgrades in the future, relying on its existing industrial foundation and innovation platform to continuously expand the high-end titanium dioxide application market, contributing more to the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry in Shandong Province.
Shandong Jinhai Titanium Resources Technology Co., Ltd.With an annual production line capacity of over 200,000 tons of titanium dioxide.Shandong Lubei Chemical Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary and together with Shandong Xianghai Titanium Resources Technology Co., Ltd. forms the titanium dioxide business segment of Lubei Chemical.
