Recently,Haosi Power and ScaniaOfficially launched in Sweden.Heavy-duty electric lumber transport truckField pilot project. As a new generation global powertrain solution provider, Haosi Power Sub-Business Group - Aurora Bay Technology has provided the core power extension system for Scania electric trucks. Together, they are exploring decarbonization paths for heavy long-distance transportation, addressing the challenges of green travel in demanding transportation scenarios with insufficient charging infrastructure.

The pilot project is part of Scania's "Pilot Partner Program".One of the largest forestry companies in Europe, SCA.Operating in northern Sweden. The steep roads, remote locations, and scarce charging stations in the forest areas of northern Sweden have long been a challenge for the transportation of electric trucks. The electric timber truck jointly developed by both parties is designed to address this challenge.

Through integrationScania high-power electric drive system Haosi Power's High-Efficiency GeneratorThe vehicle not only has long-range capabilities but also achieves low emissions, perfectly fitting heavy-duty needs. The test route is approximately 16 kilometers long, and the vehicle needs to complete 7-8 round trips daily. Currently, the transportation efficiency is comparable to diesel trucks, and there's no need for mid-route charging, making the efficiency superior to pure electric trucks. This not only validates the feasibility of range-extended hybrid technology but also breaks the...Electrification of transportation in remote areas is challenging."The dilemma."

The range extender system equipped in the pilot vehicles is based on the HaoSi Power 2.0L high-efficiency multi-fuel engine, capable of outputting 120 kW of power to provide stable power supply to the battery pack. This pure onboard charging device is like "Heavy-duty truck power bankIn long-distance transportation, extreme temperatures, or unexpected delays, it can promptly recharge to ensure uninterrupted transportation.

The modular extended range system architecture of Haosi Power comes from its core technology for hybrid systems in passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.Special optimizations have been made to meet the high power and high durability requirements for heavy-duty transportation scenarios.Unlike traditional fixed-speed generator sets, this system's engine can intelligently adjust across the full power range, efficiently outputting power while significantly reducing fuel consumption, noise, and vibration, balancing environmental considerations with driving experience.

Matias Giannini, CEO of Haosi Power, stated: "Forestry logistics is one of the significant challenges in the practical application of electrification transformation. The forest areas in northern Sweden have very high requirements for vehicle power, range, and reliability, while ensuring continuous timber transportation. Our range extender is silent and efficient, and through collaboration with Scania, we have demonstrated that compact range extenders can enable electric trucks to operate stably in harsh environments, representing an immediately deployable carbon-reducing green technology."

It is worth mentioning that Scania and Houspower have had successful collaboration cases before. Earlier this year, during a 100-day test conducted with a German logistics partner, vehicles equipped with Houspower technology accumulated nearly 22,000 kilometers, driving more than 90% of the time on pure electric mode, only activating the range extender when charging conditions were unavailable, reducing carbon emissions by over 90% compared to diesel trucks, thus laying a solid foundation for the Swedish project. Responsible for the "Pilot Partner Program" isScania Vice President Tony Sandberg"This time, our cooperation with Haosi Power and SCA in Sweden is a seamless continuation of the German testing project. These experiences allow us to customize systems for the demanding timber transportation in Scandinavia, further promoting the electrification of heavy-duty transport."

Ingo Scholten, Chief Technology Officer of Haosi Power and General Manager of Aurora Bay SwedenSupplemented: "The electrification of heavy transport routes poses higher demands on drivers and operators, such as long distances without charging points, load fluctuations, weather changes, etc. This test directly addresses these issues, with the range extender's core function being stable energy supply to help drivers complete their tasks while emitting far less greenhouse gases than diesel trucks. We will optimize the technology based on collected data to promote its large-scale application in high-demand scenarios."

Currently,Pilot trucks have entered routine operational testing.Through collecting performance and energy efficiency data under real-world conditions while fully loaded, this pilot project will provide a reference for the green transition in heavy transportation sectors such as forestry, mining, and long-haul freight. Hossi Power believes that technologies such as range extender systems are crucial for global decarbonization, enabling deep carbon reduction in situations where infrastructure is not yet fully developed, and providing practical power solutions for automotive clients to move towards net-zero emissions. In the future, Hossi Power will continue to focus on technological innovation, partnering with more stakeholders to contribute to global transportation decarbonization.
