Fast Technology, March 28th news, Tesla officially announced today,Cybercab, the company's autonomous taxi, will begin operations in Austin, Texas, USA, in June 2025, which is earlier than the originally planned release date of 2026.
The Tesla Cybercab was released in October 2024, with an expected vehicle cost of under $30,000 (approximately RMB 218,000).
The vehicle's exterior design is sleek, continuing the Tesla family style, featuring a continuous light strip and scissor doors. The rear of the car adopts a streamlined design with a full-width LED tail light. The fully enclosed wheel rims help improve aerodynamic performance and range efficiency.
The interior features no steering wheel or pedals, and is equipped with a large central display screen, showing vehicle information on the left and trip information on the right.
Tesla has established Cybercab production equipment at its Texas Gigafactory and plans to begin production this summer. The new vehicle may be equipped with a battery pack of less than 50 kWh, offering a range of approximately 300 miles (482.8 kilometers).
