IT Home reported on March 28 that, according to the official explanation from Xiaomi Auto, Xiaomi's second model YU7 is named "Xiaomi Yu 7" in Chinese, symbolizing "land war vehicle, riding the wind."

In February of this year, Lei Jun stated that during his test drive of the Xiaomi YU7, he only needed to recharge twice over a distance of more than 1,000 kilometers, and he claimed that "the range performance is outstanding."

According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Xiaomi YU7 has dimensions of 4999/1996/1608 (1600) mm, with a wheelbase of 3000 mm, classifying it as a mid-to-large-sized SUV.

The design of the new car's hood is dynamic and is expected to have an excellent low drag coefficient. The front lip protrudes outward, paired with an exaggerated front air intake, showcasing a strong sporty vibe.

The headlight design is unique and distinctly different from the Xiaomi SU7. The upper part of the headlights features a real air duct, which directs airflow through the rear outlet of the hood. The daytime running lights are in a cross shape with a divider in the middle, while the lower part consists of two LED light units. There is also an air duct located beneath the headlights.

In addition, the new car is equipped with a laser radar on the roof, the hood features sporty stickers, the front windshield wipers are larger, and the rear windshield uses a hidden wiper design.

In the rear section, the new car features transparent tail light covers, paired with a U-shaped tail light design. Above the small ducktail at the rear, there is a rear spoiler, and there is another spoiler above the rear window. The rear bumper design is exaggerated, with air ducts on both sides, showcasing a strong sporty feel. There are also two cameras located at the top of the rear window and at the rear bumper.

In terms of power configuration, the Xiaomi YU7 adopts pure electric drive, offering options for single or dual motors. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive version has a maximum power of 220 kW for the front motor and 288 kW for the rear motor, with a combined power of 508 kW (691 horsepower) and a top speed of 253 km/h, equipped with a ternary lithium battery. The single-motor rear-wheel-drive version has a maximum power of 235 kW and a top speed of 240 km/h, paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery.
