Applications and Advantages of Aluminum Alloy PE-RT Pipes
Aluminum Alloy Lined PE-RT Pipe Structure: The inner pipe is made of PE-RT (heat-resistant enhanced polyethylene) and the outer layer is a 6063 seamless aluminum alloy pipe, which is compounded using prestressing technology. The pipe combines the strength of metal pipes with the low hydraulic resistance, corrosion resistance, and superior hygiene performance of plastic pipes; it is widely used in hot and cold water supply, heating, and air conditioning fields. Let's take a look at the performance of the inner pipe PE-RT:
PE-RT pipes are copolymers made from ethylene-octene as the co-monomer. During the polymerization process, the number and distribution of side chains on the polyethylene molecular chain are moderately controlled, resulting in PE-RT material having excellent physical and mechanical properties. Without the need for crosslinking, PE-RT pipes have:
1. Good thermal stability and long-term pressure resistance
2. Excellent environmental stress cracking resistance
3. Good flexibility
4. Low-temperature impact resistance
5. Excellent hygiene performance
Performance characteristics and application advantages of PE-RT piping systems:
1. Good thermal stability and long-term pressure resistance. Used in heating systems and hot and cold water systems, it can ensure a service life of 50 years.
2. Excellent processing performance. PE-RT pipes do not require crosslinking processes, and there is no need to control the degree and uniformity of crosslinking. With fewer production process steps, the product has good homogeneity, resulting in stable and reliable quality.
3. Construction in low-temperature environments does not require preheating of the pipes, making installation convenient and reducing costs.
4. Good impact resistance and high safety. The low-temperature brittle fracture temperature can reach -70°C, allowing for transportation and construction in low-temperature environments; its resistance to external impact is significantly higher than that of other pipes, preventing damage to the system caused by rough construction.
5. Can be heat-fused for easy installation and maintenance, with PE-RT greatly outperforming PPR.
6. Offers a high cost-performance ratio. PE-RT pipes possess all the performance advantages of PPR pipes, with lower installation and maintenance costs, providing high value for money. Visually, the inner wall of PE-RT appears much smoother than that of PPR, with a higher molecular density than PPR, resulting in significantly lower resistance when transporting media.
We recommend using aluminum alloy lined PE-RT for main pipes and ordinary PE-RT plastic pipes for branch pipes. Due to the good flexibility of PE-RT pipes, the installation of branch pipes greatly saves on fittings and improves the overall safety and hygiene performance of the system.
