Heju Hengju’s MXD6 Specialty Nylon Project Enters Pilot Testing
On May 20th at 14:18, the pilot test launch ceremony for the Hengju MXD6 project was grandly held in Jiangling, marking a key step for Heju in the field of new materials.

This pilot test focuses on semi-aromatic polyamide MXD6 as the core product, aiming to achieve an industrialization breakthrough in its polymerization technology. MXD6 is a specialty nylon that combines high strength, high heat resistance, high barrier properties, and excellent dimensional stability, and is widely used in fields such as new energy vehicles, aerospace, electrical and electronics, semiconductor packaging, and high-end packaging.
Facing the market pattern of long-term monopoly by a few international companies in the global MXD6 sector, Heju has continuously tackled technical challenges and independently mastered the key polymerization process of MXD6, possessing the full-process capability from small-scale testing to pilot testing and large-scale production. This pilot project has a planned capacity of 3,000 tons for Phase I, while also promoting the layout of larger-scale production lines.
It is understood that Hubei Heju Polymer Materials Co., Ltd. is a key sci-tech innovation enterprise in Jiangling County and is controlled by Wuhan Heju Industrial Group Co., Ltd. Since settling in Jiangling in 2017, Heju has located its headquarters, R&D center, and core production base entirely in Jiangling, driving the establishment of a number of polymer materials enterprises in the county, including Weisu Park and Jushi. The company has successively been recognized as a third-batch national-level “Little Giant” specialized and sophisticated SME, a national-level key “Little Giant” enterprise, a national-level “Green Factory,” and a Hubei Province manufacturing single-item champion, among others. It has been granted nearly 100 patents in total, including two PCT international patents, has participated in the formulation of one national standard, and has accumulated more than 5,000 R&D and innovative formulations. The company has established stable cooperation with major OEMs such as SAIC and BMW Brilliance.
