Toray Industries and SGL Carbon Establish Carbon Fiber Supply Partnership for Aerospace Sector
Toray Composite Materials America, Inc., a specialist in producing polyacrylonitrile (PAN) based carbon fiber and carbon fiber prepreg under the Toray Group, has signed a long-term carbon fiber supply agreement with SGL Group.

This agreement is effective for a period of five years, commencing in January 2026.
Driving growth in carbon fiber demand in the aerospace sector
Through this collaboration, both parties will jointly enhance the supply stability and supply chain resilience in the fields of commercial aircraft, aerospace, and defense, further strengthening the global supply chain and contributing to long-term market growth.
With the global recovery of passenger demand and the advancement of next-generation aircraft development, the aviation market is expected to maintain steady growth in the medium to long term. The continuous renewal and technological upgrading of aircraft will also strongly drive steady growth in carbon fiber demand.
