Ube Launches Recycled Net PA6 Material, Building End-to-End Recycling Value Chain
U-Be-Infinity, an environmental product brand of Ube Corporation, has recently added two new polyamide 6 (PA6) materials made from recycled fishing nets, and the certification has been completed.

Ube's subsidiary, Ube Chemical (Asia) Co., Ltd., recovers discarded fishing nets locally and processes them into high-value-added polyamide materials at its production base in Rayong, Thailand. This Thai subsidiary continues to expand new application areas for recycled polyamide by establishing an end-to-end value chain from raw material recovery to finished product manufacturing. Currently, this series of materials has partnered with the Thai fashion brand Pipatchara, applying them to clothing products.
Moreover, Ube has developed a glass fiber-reinforced recycled polyamide material whose physical properties are comparable to those of conventional virgin glass fiber-reinforced polyamide, while offering significant potential for greenhouse gas emission reduction. The company is currently conducting application assessments for this material primarily in industrial sectors such as automotive components and electronic/electrical parts, and plans to undertake customized material development tailored to the specific requirements of different sectors, further expanding its application into industries including construction materials, furniture, daily necessities, and fashion apparel.
