Brief Description:Underwater industrial plastic pelletizers are mainly used for processing waste plastic films (industrial packaging films, agricultural mulch films, greenhouse films, beer packaging, shopping bags, etc.), woven bags, agricultural convenience bags, basins, buckets, beverage bottles, furniture, and daily necessities. When the operator is feeding the material, they must ensure no foreign objects enter the material and control the temperature properly.
2. If the material does not form strips and sticks to the die head when the machine is first turned on, it is due to the die head temperature being too high. The issue can be resolved by allowing a slight cooling, and in most cases, there is no need to stop the machine.
3. The water temperature should generally be between 50-60°C. If it is too low, the strips may break; if it is too high, they may stick together. When starting the machine, half of the water added should be hot. If this is not possible, manually feed the material into the pelletizer for a while until the water temperature rises, and then let it automatically cut the pellets to avoid breaking the strips. Once the water temperature exceeds 60°C, add cold water to the circulation to maintain the temperature.
4. When pelletizing, the strands must be evenly pulled before entering the cutting rolls; otherwise, the pelletizer will be damaged. If material is violently spewing out from the vent hole, it indicates that impurities have clogged the filter screen. At this point, the machine must be stopped immediately to replace the screen, which can be selected with a mesh size of 40-60.
Common Causes of Faults in Underwater Industrial Plastic Pelletizers
In underwater pelletizing units, the reasons for the disengagement of the friction clutch and the interlock shutdown of the unit during operation can be categorized into four major types:
Main motor system failure
1. The main motor torque is too high or too low;
2. The main motor speed is too low;
3. The main motor bearing temperature is too high;
4. The main motor winding temperature is too high;
5. The inlet and outlet temperatures of the main motor water cooler are too high;
6. The outlet flow of the main motor bearing lubricating oil pump is too low;
7. The outlet pressure of the main motor bearing lubricating oil pump is too low;
8. The leakage rate of the main motor water cooler is too high.
Transmission system failure
1. The gearbox shift lever position is off-center;
2. The instrument air pressure for the friction clutch is too high;
3. The speed difference of the friction clutch is too large;
4. The outlet pressure of the gearbox lubricating oil pump is too low;
5. The outlet oil temperature of the gearbox lubricating oil pump is too high;
6. Internal failure of the friction clutch, etc.
Screw process section failure of the extrusion granulator
1. The melt pressure before and after the throttle valve is too high;

1. The granulator motor winding temperature is too high.
