A FOCOR was founded in 1962 with the initial activity of Importing and Distributing Dyes for the Textile Industry. Later, and gradually, it expanded its range of products and diversified in order to serve other industries. Currently, at a commercial level, its activity is divided into three departments: Textile, Plastics and Industrial Chemicals. The first two are responsible for marketing chemical products (specialties) used in the respective Textile and Plastics industries, while the third brings together a vast set of chemicals that are destined for different industries – Textile, Paints, Varnishes, Pharmaceutical, Ceramics, Food, etc. and which are, for the most part, high-volume products (“commodities”).
