As a leading third-party automotive quality evaluation platform in China, Car Quality Network launched the "Hundred Car Owners Evaluate New Cars" survey in August 2010. Each month, the survey focuses on several newly released models that have garnered significant attention and have been on the market for at least six months. The aim is to comprehensively understand the reliability of new cars available in the Chinese market and consumer satisfaction, helping more consumers choose reliable and durable automotive products. To date, the "Hundred Car Owners Evaluate New Cars" survey has evaluated over 300 new car models and collected over 50,000 valid car owner samples.

After the AITO M9 set the benchmark in the 500,000 RMB market segment, HarmonyOS Smart Mobility has launched another significant offering—the all-new large SUV AITO M8. Positioned as a family smart flagship vehicle, this model is available at an affordable starting price of 359,800 RMB, featuring key technologies such as Huawei ADS assisted driving, HarmonyOS cabin, and Turing chassis. It not only fills the gap in the product matrix but also redefines the value standards of high-end SUVs through "technological inclusivity." According to feedback from participants in the "Hundred Car Owners Evaluate New Cars" survey, the 2025 AITO M8 is widely praised for its ride comfort and storage space. However, some consumers have reported issues with deposit disputes.

Among the 103 valid questionnaires collected, based on the real evaluations given by car owners regarding the 2025 AITO M8 in terms of vehicle fundamentals, driving experience, usage cost, quality reliability, and pre-sales/after-sales service, the comprehensive score of the 2025 AITO M8 in this survey is 86 points, meeting the recommendation standard of CheZhiWang.

Owner Profile |Young users are the majority, and the proportion of first-time car buyers is high.

From the survey results, among the 103 owners of the 2025 model AITO Wenjie M8 who participated in the survey, 71.8% are male and 28.2% are female, indicating that the AITO Wenjie M8 is more popular among male consumers. Furthermore, in terms of age groups, the largest proportion of owners is between 31-35 years old, accounting for 40.8% of the total; followed by those aged 26-30, accounting for 35.9%. Among them, more than half are first-time car buyers. It is evident that the majority of purchasers of the 2025 model AITO Wenjie M8 are middle-aged consumers in their 30s, and most are buying a car for the first time.

Vehicle Fundamentals |Outstanding design, reasonable storage space.

In terms of appearance, the AITO M8 inherits the family-style design of the AITO brand, featuring a large closed front grille paired with a nearly two-meter width, creating a powerful presence that exudes authority without aggression. The rear design is full and layered, without overly complex lines, yet it provides a calm and sophisticated visual impression. In this survey, 33% of owners gave a positive evaluation of the "exterior design" of the 2025 AITO M8, and another 24.3% expressed satisfaction with the "body color." However, 7.8% of owners believed that the "assembly workmanship" needs improvement.

In the survey on the interior of the 2025 AITO M8, 35% of the owners believe that it performs excellently in terms of "storage space." Specifically, the interior storage space is very abundant and highly utilized. Additionally, the trunk is flat inside, and can easily accommodate two or three large suitcases without any pressure. Furthermore, the "material workmanship" is also recognized by the interviewed owners, with the interior mostly using soft materials and leather wrapping. The combination of wood grain panels and metal buttons enhances the overall sense of luxury.

Overall, the exterior and interior performance of the 2025 AITO Wenjie M8 met the expectations of the owners, with 31.1% and 46.6% of owners expressing "very satisfied" and "satisfied" respectively, 14.6% of owners expressing "neutral," and only 7.7% of owners clearly expressing "dissatisfied."

Driving Experience |Comfort performance is good, acceleration ability is outstanding.

When evaluating the driving experience of a car model, different people prioritize different aspects. In this survey, 49.5% of car owners expressed that they value the "riding experience" more. Additionally, 29.1% and 21.4% of car owners prioritize "driving experience" and "both driving and riding experience," respectively.

In terms of power, the 2025 AITO Wenjie M8 offers two power versions: pure electric and range-extended. The pure electric version has total motor power outputs of 227kW and 387kW, respectively. The range-extended version uses a 1.5T turbocharged engine combined with a dual-motor range-extended power system, with a maximum engine power of 118kW and total motor power of 392kW. For the chassis, all models use a combination of front double wishbone independent suspension and rear five-link independent suspension.

In further investigation, a satisfaction survey regarding the driving experience of the 2025 AITO Wenjie M8 will be conducted in seven areas: acceleration performance, steering performance, braking performance, quietness, comfort, functionality, and safety. Owners participating in the survey gave high ratings to "comfort" and "acceleration performance," but some owners believe there is room for improvement in the "steering performance" of the 2025 AITO Wenjie M8.

In the comprehensive evaluation of the driving experience of the 2025 AITO Wenjie M8, the proportion of owners who are "very satisfied" and "satisfied" exceeds 70%, with only 10.7% of owners expressing "dissatisfaction."

Usage Cost |The maintenance costs basically meet expectations.

For the 2025 AITO Wenjie M8 model's pricing, many owners believe the new car is reasonably priced, with maintenance costs not being high, making its overall cost-effectiveness outstanding. In the survey, 69.9% of owners felt their purchase price met their expectations. After purchasing the vehicle, the cost of usage in the later stages became the topic of most concern for the owners.

The 2025 AITO M8 offers both electric and extended-range power options. This survey specifically investigates the electric range of the electric version and the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers of the extended-range version. In the survey, 68.9% of owners indicated that the electric range is between 500-650 km. Additionally, as many as 52.4% of owners reported that the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is between 8-10 L. Considering that the temperature conditions in different areas and the driving style of the vehicle will affect the range, these data are for reference only. Furthermore, among the 103 questionnaires collected, 88 respondents believed that the maintenance/service costs of the 2025 AITO M8 are within expectations and reasonable.

In the overall evaluation of the usage cost of the 2025 AITO Wenjie M8, the participating owners provided relatively objective feedback. Among them, 28.2% of the owners expressed being "very satisfied," 39.8% said they were "satisfied," another 17.5% stated "neutral," and 14.5% considered it "unsatisfactory."

Quality reliability |There are relatively more abnormal noises in the steering system.

According to the survey results, out of 103 valid questionnaires received, 23 indicated that the vehicles had experienced non-human faults or quality issues, accounting for 22.3%.

Among the vehicles experiencing non-human-related malfunctions, the highest percentage, 37.9%, had their first malfunction occur at a mileage of 3,000 to 5,000 kilometers. Furthermore, survey results regarding the time period in which malfunctions occurred show that 61.2% of vehicle owners reported that their vehicle experienced a malfunction within the first month of purchase.

In further investigations with car owners, we found that the proportion of non-human failures in the steering system is relatively high, which is also reflected in the survey results of "the most serious quality issues or defects of this car." The survey revealed that complaints from owners about the 2025 AITO Wenjie M8 mostly focus on "abnormal noises," accounting for 20.4%, with specific manifestations as "abnormal noise in the steering system." In addition, some owners also indicated that the AITO Wenjie M8 has "air conditioning issues" and "driving assistance system failures," among others.

Despite some owners having complaints about the quality and reliability of the 2025 AITO Wenjie M8, they still gave relatively objective evaluations. Among them, 19.4% of the owners said they were "very satisfied," 43.7% said they were "satisfied," 28.2% said they felt it was "average," and the proportion of owners who explicitly stated they were "dissatisfied" was 8.7%.

Pre-sale/After-sale Service |Deposit disputes and complaints about not delivering the car as agreed are common.

During the process of vehicle sales and subsequent maintenance, the role of the consumer shifts from prospective owner to car owner, and during this period, their contact with car dealerships is the most frequent. Therefore, the quality and professionalism of pre-sales and after-sales services provided by car dealerships play a crucial role in the consumer's selection and subsequent maintenance of the vehicle.

In this survey on the pre-sale/post-sale services for the 2025 AITO M8, all car owners chose "authorized 4S stores" as their maintenance channel. Additionally, out of the 103 questionnaires received, 49 indicated that the car owners had encountered issues with pre-sale/post-sale services, accounting for approximately 47.6%.

Through further investigation, it was found that owners' complaints about the pre-sale/post-sale service of the 2025 AITO M8 are mostly concentrated on "sales issues," which is also reflected in the specific problems existing in the vehicle's pre-sale/post-sale service. Among them, the issue of "deposit disputes" accounts for the highest proportion, with some interviewed owners indicating that the manufacturer locks orders and does not refund deposits. Additionally, some owners have reported that the 2025 AITO M8 experiences issues such as "not delivering cars as agreed."

In the overall evaluation of pre-sale/after-sale services, the car owners surveyed still gave a relatively objective assessment. Among them, 12.6% of car owners considered themselves "very satisfied," 47.6% "satisfied," 27.2% "average," and 12.6% "dissatisfied."

Summary |

Overall, the 2025 AITO M8 has gained wide market recognition due to its core advantages in intelligent technology, luxury comfort, strong performance, and long range. According to the survey results regarding the "most satisfactory" aspects of the 2025 AITO M8, "driving experience" received the highest satisfaction rating, accounting for 26.2%. Meanwhile, in the "least satisfactory" survey options, 15.5% of owners expressed complaints about pre-sales/post-sales services, primarily related to "deposit disputes." However, considering the overall survey results, the 2025 AITO M8 is quite competitive in its class, with 76.7% of owners indicating they would consider AITO's models when changing cars.
