Arkema's Italian Polyester Resin Plant Receives ISCC+ Certification
Arkema Group has announced that its specialty polyester resin production site in Gissi, Italy, has successfully obtained ISCC+ certification, in alignment with Arkema's global mass balance roadmap. This supports customers in implementing more sustainable polyurethane system solutions in markets such as construction, packaging, and automotive.
"This news marks an important milestone for Arkema—now all of our global advanced liquid resin production sites (covering acrylic, polyester, alkyd, and polyamide resins) have obtained ISCC+ certification," said Franck CHARRIER, Global Director of Advanced Liquid and Powder Resins. "The certification of the Gissi site brings us closer to our core objective: optimizing production methods to support the industry-wide vision of reducing carbon footprints."
The complete list of certified Arkema advanced liquid resin factories includes Gissi in Italy (EMEA), Sant Celoni in Italy (EMEA), Mollet Del Valles in Spain (EMEA), Zwickau in Germany (EMEA), Grand Rapids in Michigan, USA, North Kansas City in Missouri, USA, Navi Mumbai in India, and Klang in Malaysia.
These certifications are part of Arkema's broader quality balance certification roadmap, which encompasses various technologies and product lines for coatings and related products, including a full range of bio-sourced specialty resins and additives, such as high solids, water-based materials, UV-LED-EB curing materials, and polyester powder materials.
