The company's management stated in a statement that the manufacturing facility located in Brampton covers an area of 227,000 square feet (approximately 21,100 square meters) and is equipped with injection stretch blow molding, extrusion blow molding, and injection molding production lines. The new facility not only has over 45 production lines but also includes equipment for post-processing and surface decoration. Additionally, the plant features 10 plastic resin storage silos, three of which are dedicated to storing post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic. Axium claims that the use of PCR plastic in its packaging solutions can reach up to 30%, and the storage silo technology enables the company to expand its storage capacity for PCR plastic to meet the growing market demand.
Pushminder Judge, founder and CEO of Axium Packaging, stated: "This production facility features Axium's latest equipment and processing technology, and will serve as an efficient and flexible service platform that enables us to respond quickly to the needs of customers across Canada. Canada is our foundation, and Brampton is the ideal place to realize this vision — allowing us to continue advancing our development plans while supporting local employees and their families, and contributing to the economic development of the entire region."
The company stated that the location of this production base has significant advantages - it is not only near the company's first production base and warehouse but also close to Toronto Pearson International Airport and key customer partners. This layout can shorten transportation and delivery times, thereby reducing the environmental footprint and lowering production costs.
The company introduced that in 2010, Pushminder and Paul Judge founded Axium in Ontario, initially with only 3 plastic packaging machines in Mississauga.
Currently, Axium has established a business network covering 25 locations in North America, providing packaging products for various consumer categories, specifically including personal care, home cleaning, food, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and nutritional products.
