Shandong Shenchih Chemical Group Co., Ltd., located in Dongying, Shandong, is a large comprehensive chemical group specializing in refining, petrochemicals, and fine chemicals. Its subsidiary, Shandong Shenchih Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (Shandong Shenchih), is the first domestic olefin producer to adopt the CATOFIN C3/C4 mixed dehydrogenation (PDH/iBDH) process technology. Since its commissioning, the plant has consistently used high-performance Clariant CATOFIN catalysts.The current device has switched from a mixed dehydrogenation mode to operating in a pure isobutane feed mode, achieving an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of isobutylene.
The device completed the catalyst change and restarted in June 2025, with excellent performance in various operational indicators.The C4 product achieved full capacity production, fully validating the high adaptability and reliability of the Catofin catalyst for different types of raw materials.
