High-performance resins and applications 2025-07-15 14:58:40

On July 12, 2025, Zhejiang Huashuai Special New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. celebrated a key milestone in its "Annual Production of 35,000 Tons of Aviation Transparent Materials Construction Project" — the main structure has reached its roof. From the blueprint drawn during the groundbreaking on February 16 of this year to the current towering steel structures and completed buildings, Huashuai has demonstrated its firm commitment to "the independent development of aviation materials" through practical actions, injecting strong momentum into the development of the domestic aviation PMMA transparent materials industry.

The project, as a technological transformation project in the aircraft manufacturing industry, has a total investment of 180 million yuan and covers an area of approximately 30.89 acres. It plans to build a production line, which, upon reaching full production capacity, will achieve an annual output of 35,000 tons of aviation PMMA transparent materials. The implementation and advancement of this project will significantly enhance the domestic self-sufficiency capability of aviation PMMA transparent materials, laying a solid foundation for the localization and independence of aviation equipment, and contributing to the security and upgrading of China's aviation industry supply chain, helping to advance from being an "aviation power" to an "aviation strong power."

It is understood that on the morning of February 16, 2025, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the construction project of Zhejiang Huashuai Special New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., located in Shendang, Haiyan, which will produce 35,000 tons of aviation PMMA transparent materials annually. The construction period for the project is 18 months, and it is expected to be completed and put into use in the second half of 2026.

Zhejiang Huashuai New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. has a construction project for an annual production capacity of 35,000 tons of aviation PMMA transparent materials, which is a technical transformation project in the aircraft manufacturing industry (C3741) with a total investment of 180 million yuan. The project is located on Yongqing East Road, Shendang Town, Haiyan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, covering an area of 20,574 square meters (approximately 30.89 acres). It includes the construction of an aviation sheet production workshop, a polymerization building, a tank area, and has a total building area of 23,000 square meters. The project will add 2 production lines for aviation PMMA transparent materials, forming an annual production capacity of 35,000 tons. After the project is put into operation, it is expected to achieve an annual sales revenue of 630 million yuan.

Zhejiang Huashuai Special New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 1998. It is a national high-tech enterprise specializing in sound barriers, wind barriers, and functional polymethyl methacrylate (referred to as PMMA, commonly known as acrylic). It is an internationally advanced manufacturer of sound barrier systems and acrylic materials. The leading product, high-impact-resistant high-speed rail sound barrier panels, is at the forefront of the domestic market and is sold in more than 30 countries and regions worldwide. These products are widely used in key national engineering projects, such as the Zheng-Wan High-speed Railway, He-Fu High-speed Railway, Cheng-Pu High-speed Railway, the Indonesia Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway, the Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the Jiangmen Neutrino Laboratory, and the National Olympic Sports Center. The company holds the largest market share in the domestic market for high-speed rail sound barriers and wind barriers for major bridges, and the independently developed wind barrier materials have been awarded the honor of being "the first of its kind in the country."
