2026 6 25 ,Dow Inc.(Dow Inc., NYSE: DOW) announced a series of targeted investment projects, with a total investment expected to reach approximately $100 million by the end of 2027, to expand its manufacturing and innovation capabilities for specialty organic silicone products globally. These investments further demonstrate Dow's commitment to supporting rapidly growing end markets while enhancing innovation collaboration and supply chain resilience for global customers.

This investment will enhance Dow’s integrated capabilities in specialty silicones in the United States, China, and Japan, with a focus on advanced silicone materials and processing technologies to meet the growing global demand in transportation, electronics, and healthcare applications.

This series of investments includes:
Liquid silicone rubber (LSRCapacity upgrade:The LSR manufacturing expansion project located in Carrollton, Kentucky, USA, and Zhangjiagang, China, is expected to be put into production in 2027, supporting high-performance applications in the transportation, electronics, and medical fields.
Engineering silicone materialsCapacity upgrade:Capacity expansion mainly targeting advanced electronic applications, including power electronics, semiconductor packaging, thermal management, and electrical protection, is planned to commence production this year in Songjiang, Shanghai, China, and Fukui, Japan, followed by further expansion in Auburn, Michigan, USA, and Zhangjiagang, China, by 2027, further strengthening Dow’s innovation and manufacturing base in specialty materials.
Global Laboratory Upgrade for Thermal Management Materials ScienceFollowing the completion of the Shanghai laboratory expansion in the first quarter of this year, the Midland laboratory in Michigan, USA, was also inaugurated in June, further accelerating customer co-innovation and scaled development of next-generation thermal management solutions.
The continued advancement of the above investment projects marks the full implementation of the series of silicone investments disclosed by Dow at its 2024 Investor Day, with specific project timelines adjusted accordingly based on changes in market demand and cost factors.
