Extreme Transparency! Another New Type of Polypropylene Resin

Polyolefin Professional 2025-12-17 13:42:55

Japan Polypropylene Corporation (JPP) has successfully developed a new type of polypropylene resin that achieves "extreme transparency," which is difficult to achieve with traditional polypropylene (PP) materials. This new product has a haze value, which indicates the level of cloudiness in transparent components, of "1.5%", compared to the "15%" of traditional materials.

Product Features

  • Achieve ultimate transparency through proprietary technology: Utilizing unique metallocene catalysis technology to achieve high molecular control and homogeneous structure, as well as the highest transparency for PP materials.

  • The environmental benefits of lightweight materials: they can serve as alternatives to PS, PET, etc., reduce product weight, help improve transportation efficiency, and decrease carbon dioxide emissions.

Japan Polypropylene Corporation

Japan Polypropylene Corporation (JPP) was formed in October 2003 through the merger of the polypropylene businesses of Japan Polychem Corporation (JPC) and Chisso Corporation, making it one of the largest polypropylene companies in Japan.

The company is primarily engaged in the research, production, and sales of polypropylene and related products, including general polypropylene, metallocene polypropylene (MPP), and recycled polypropylene materials. These products are widely used in various fields such as packaging, automotive, electronics, medical, and construction, for example, food packaging containers, automotive interior parts, electronic device housings, and medical instruments.

JPP holds a leading position in the field of metalized polypropylene technology, launching product series such as Wintec, Welnex, and Waymax. These products feature high transparency, low volatility, and excellent heat sealing and mechanical properties, capable of meeting the special demands of the high-end market for polypropylene materials. In addition, JPP is dedicated to developing environmentally friendly polypropylene products, such as the recycled material "NovaOrbis-MR," which contains post-consumer recycled (PCR) polypropylene, aimed at reducing environmental impact.

JPP is committed to the mission of "providing high-quality polypropylene products and solving resource and environmental issues." It strives to promote the development of the polypropylene industry through technological innovation and sustainable practices, while actively fulfilling its social responsibilities and contributing to the sustainable development of society. With multiple production bases in Japan and overseas, it has strong production scale and supply capacity.
