Huawei Regains No. 1 Spot in China Smartphone Market After Mate80 Launch
On December 11th, market research consultancy BCI released the latest data showing that since the launch of the Huawei Mate80 series, Huawei's smartphone market share in China has surpassed Apple's for two consecutive weeks, reclaiming the top position in the domestic market.
According to the data, in the 48th week of 2025 (November 24 to 30), Huawei captured 27.81% of the domestic smartphone market, significantly surpassing Apple's 17.12% market share. Additionally, OPPO, vivo, and Honor ranked third to fifth, respectively.
In the 49th week (from December 1 to 7), Huawei topped the domestic smartphone market again with a market share of 22.89%, while Apple ranked second with a share of 18.65%. OPPO and vivo followed closely in third and fourth place, respectively. Xiaomi ranked fifth with a share of 13.3%.

Previously, the Huawei Mate 80 series was officially released on November 28, with the standard version starting at 4,699 yuan, which is 800 yuan lower than the previous generation; the Pro version starting at 5,999 yuan, which is 500 yuan lower than the previous generation; the Pro Max version starting at 7,999 yuan, which is also 500 yuan lower than the previous generation; and the RS Extraordinary Master starting at 11,999 yuan, which is the same as the previous generation.
Against the backdrop of a global surge in storage prices, Huawei's new device is priced significantly lower than the previous generation, leading many netizens to comment that it is "more quantity at no extra cost."
The market recovery also reflects consumers' renewed confidence in the HarmonyOS ecosystem, which has surpassed 300,000 applications and services after a year of extreme breakthroughs.
