Major Acquisition | Innova Acquires Core Manufacturing Assets of SSK in Mexico
Innova Engineered Plastics, a leading company in the production of thick-walled plastic shells and disposable components, recently announced the acquisition of the core manufacturing assets of SSK Company in Mexicali, Mexico.

Innova is mainly engaged in the injection molding business of thick-walled engineering plastic housings and disposable products, with its products primarily targeting the highly regulated markets such as medical devices.
The company, headquartered in Shirley, Massachusetts, USA, revealed that this acquisition includes five injection molding machines with clamping forces ranging from 250 to 900 tons, an additional 10,000 square feet of production space, and expanded power facilities to support future capacity expansion.
Innova Engineered Plastics emphasizes that this strategic investment will significantly enhance the company's ability to supply multi-domain engineered plastic enclosure solutions, precisely meeting the strong demand in the medical device and life sciences, aerospace and defense, diagnostics and laboratory equipment, autonomous robotics, data center, and artificial intelligence industries.
"We will continue to increase investment to push the company's development to a new level," said Mark LaVine, CEO of Innova Engineered Plastics. The addition of equipment and infrastructure will significantly enhance the company's production flexibility and economies of scale, expand capacity layout, and help the company serve global customers with shorter delivery cycles and stronger supply capabilities.
Innova Engineered Plastics pointed out that by integrating the aforementioned assets, the company's manufacturing capabilities have been further strengthened, and the global production network layout continues to accelerate. Currently, the company has established three strategic bases:
Shirley, Massachusetts, USA: Design and Innovation Research and Development Center
Mexicali, Mexico: Two Major Manufacturing Bases
San Diego, California, USA: Precision Casting Polyurethane Technology Research and Development Center
Leveraging the technological accumulation, production capacity reserves, and global location advantages of its three major bases, Innova Engineered Plastics offers a full-process service from product design, thermoforming, and injection molding to casting polyurethane molding and reaction injection molding, providing customers with integrated plastic shell solutions.
In retrospect of previous actions, in September 2025, Innova Engineered Plastics acquired PolyCraft Tech, a company based in San Diego, California, USA, which is focused on the research, development, and production of precision cast polyurethane housings and components.
According to the acquisition announcement by Innova Engineered Plastics at that time, PolyCraft Tech has over 25 years of industry experience, specializing in medical device housings, aerospace interior components, and 3D printing development prototypes. With its exquisite engineering technology, advanced mold development capabilities, and manufacturing advantages for low to medium volume products, it strategically aligns with Innova Engineered Plastics to create a comprehensive plastic manufacturing service provider characterized by "rapid response, quality first, and innovation-driven."
As a benchmark enterprise in the field of custom production of thick-walled plastic enclosures, Innova Engineered Plastics' products have been widely used in cutting-edge fields such as surgical robots, organ transport equipment, gene sequencers, diagnostic scanning technology, autonomous robots, and information technology equipment. Its core business covers the entire chain from product design, prototype development, mold manufacturing, injection molding, to thermoforming processing.
