Rapha's Use of Recycled Polyester Surpasses Virgin Polyester for the First Time in History
British cycling lifestyle brand Rapha recently released its 2025 impact report, highlighting the increase in the amount of recycled polyester used in the brand's clothing. In 2024, for the first time in history, the use of recycled polyester fibers will surpass that of virgin polyester fibers. Furthermore, starting this year, Rapha aims to achieve 80% usage of recycled synthetic fibers by 2030, which according to the chart below, primarily involves polyester (46%) and nylon (31%).

Rapha's CEO Fran Millar believes, "We are the first cycling apparel brand to establish science-based targets, committing to reduce operational and supply chain greenhouse gas emissions. This means working closely with suppliers to reduce emissions, extending product life through circular actions, and increasing the use of sustainable materials." Rapha's climate action goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 88% by 2030, with a further 45% reduction in the supply chain. Currently, the brand has already reduced emissions in these two areas by 35.6% and 24% respectively since 2022.
In addition, on November 28, the Rapha Shanghai Club officially opened at No. 20 Donghu Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai. The Rapha Shanghai Club was originally a western-style building built in 1925, which was transformed into a "Big Class Business Building" in the late 1990s. It later became a well-known bar and brewery in the city. Today, Rapha is the first retail brand tenant of this building.
