Spy Photos of BMW M2 xDrive Version Expected to Launch in 2026
Recently, CheZhiWang obtained a set of spy photos of the BMW M2 xDrive four-wheel-drive version undergoing road testing from relevant channels. The new car largely continues the design of the current rear-wheel-drive BMW M2 and will be equipped with a 3.0T inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine, with its power parameters possibly being adjusted upwards. It is reported that the new car will be officially released in May 2026, with plans to be launched at the end of 2026.

From the spy photos, the BMW M2 xDrive continues to feature an exaggerated front design style, with the iconic double kidney grille paired with large segmented air intakes, creating a strong visual impact. The new car is equipped with 19-inch blacked-out wheels and red brake calipers, highlighting its high-performance sports car positioning.

The four-wheel-drive version is reportedly about 70kg heavier than the rear-wheel-drive version. BMW officially stated that the xDrive four-wheel-drive system will help the vehicle gain extra traction, making it more advantageous on winding roads and capable of full acceleration under any circumstances.

The BMW M2 xDrive will continue to be equipped with a 3.0T inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine, and it is expected that the maximum power and torque parameters will be increased compared to the rear-wheel-drive version. In terms of the transmission system, the BMW M2 xDrive will feature an 8-speed automatic transmission and will no longer offer the 6-speed manual transmission available in the rear-wheel-drive version. Car Quality Network will continue to monitor and report on more news about the new vehicle.
