Plastmatch Global Digest 2026-07-06 15:27:01

Swiss injection mold manufacturer Kebo AG and France’s Plastisud Group have signed a strategic merger agreement. Upon completion of the integration, the combined company will have around 300 employees and will focus on the R&D and production of high-performance injection molds and hot runner systems for the medical, pharmaceutical, and packaging sectors.

Swiss precision craftsmanship combined with French manufacturing advantages

Kebo is headquartered in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Switzerland, and specializes in high-precision injection molds and hot runner technology. Its products cover the medical, pharmaceutical, laboratory consumables, and thin-wall packaging sectors. Founded in 1979, the company currently has more than 90 employees. Plastisud Group is headquartered in Castelnaudary, France. Since 1964, it has been deeply engaged in the field of multi-cavity molds, focusing on molds for high-volume production of plastic parts, serving products such as bottle caps, packaging, and medical devices. The company currently has approximately 200 employees.

Upon completion of this merger, Kaibo will be incorporated as an independent subsidiary within the Platisde Group framework, becoming an excellent research and manufacturing center for the group's medical, pharmaceutical, and laboratory consumable mold business. The Swiss production base will be retained and continuously expanded and upgraded.

Target the continuously expanding market for diabetes and obesity treatment devices

This merger aims to enhance the capacity utilization of both parties, better capture incremental market demand, and focus on the diabetes and obesity treatment device sector. The two companies plan to integrate their respective core strengths in innovative R&D, mold processing technology, and large-scale mass production.

The company's existing management team will remain unchanged, and the original shareholders, Grollerd Keller and Daniel Bodemann, will continue in their roles. Both parties stated that this equity transaction will not result in any changes to the day-to-day operations for customers, suppliers, or employees.

Leveraging this business integration, Plastisud Group will complete its product portfolio in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, while Kebo will further consolidate its industry position in the field of injection molds for drug delivery devices.
