Technological Innovation! Junkosha Launches PTFE Hybrid Tubing, Redefining Endoscopic Device Performance
Junkosha, the pioneer in advanced fluoropolymer technology, is launching a new hybrid tubing solution for endoscopic guiding instruments at COMPAMED in Düsseldorf, Germany, in 2025. This solution is specifically designed to meet the growing demand for minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. Junkosha states that by combining the unique properties of PTFE with the enhanced flexibility of expanded PTFE (ePTFE), they have achieved the dual advantages of high durability and exceptional flexibility.

The inner layer of Junkosha's mixed channel tube is made of PTFE, achieving excellent gas tightness and lubricity. The outer layer is expanded PTFE, enhancing flexibility and resistance to bending, even under narrow bend radii. This two-layer design maintains the inner diameter and explosion resistance while reducing the risk of collapse caused by external pressure.
Mike Winterling, COO of Junkosha USA Inc., explained: "At Junkosha, our mission is to continually push the boundaries of PTFE processing extrusion technology to meet the ever-changing demands of medical device manufacturers." The launch of our Hybrid Channel Tubing highlights our commitment to providing a broader range of solutions while maintaining long-term technical expertise in product performance, quality, and reliability. We look forward to introducing this new product at this year's COMPAMED conference and invite attendees to visit our booth to discuss their unmet needs."
