On November 27, the 21st China Solar-grade Silicon and Photovoltaic Power Generation Symposium (CSPV 2025) was held in Huainan, Anhui, co-hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Solar Energy Research Institute), Zhejiang University (National Key Laboratory of Silicon Materials), Sun Yat-sen University (Solar Energy Systems Research Institute), and the Shanghai Solar Energy Society. The conference focused on cutting-edge photovoltaic technologies and the latest applications. Dr. Wu Lin, a senior engineer at the Photovoltaic Technology Center of Tongwei Co., Ltd., was invited to attend and give a keynote speech, sharing the latest progress in the development of perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells. In his presentation titled "Development of Perovskite-Silicon Tandem Solar Cells for Industrialization," Dr. Wu pointed out that the development of tandem solar cells has now shifted from the laboratory efficiency enhancement stage to the trial production stage.

Through step-by-step annealing crystallization regulation and ternary skeleton layer structure optimization, Tongwei has addressed the issues of conformality, homogenization, and defect control in perovskite film formation on velvet substrates, achieving a breakthrough in cell open-circuit voltage (Voc) to 1.99V. In terms of scaling up, the company successfully expanded the process from a 1cm² size to a 210 half-cell full-size battery, reaching an efficiency of 30.58%. Furthermore, the megawatt-level pilot line, which Tongwei plans to commission in the third quarter of 2025, is focusing on key technologies such as silver-free metallization, ultra-low temperature interconnection, and 0BB, aiming to promote the large-scale, commercial application of perovskite-silicon tandem cells.
Hosting the next CSPV conference signifies that Tongwei's leading position in the field of photovoltaic technology innovation has been widely recognized by the industry.
