Amer Sports Releases 2025 Sustainability Report, Apparel And Footwear Recycled Material Proportion Reaches 19.3%
On May 12, Amer Sports, the Finnish sports equipment group and parent company of the Canadian high-end outdoor brand Arc’teryx, officially released the "Amer Sports Sustainability Report 2025."
The report first points out that, at the strategic level, Amer Sports has established seven major sustainability themes, including climate change, pollution, circular economy, workers in the value chain, consumers and end users, its own workforce, and business conduct.

The report then elaborates on the key sustainable development work, implementation measures, and actual results of the enterprise in the fields of climate governance, circular economy, human care, and value chain during the year.
Climate Governance
In 2025, Amer Sports’ 2050 net-zero emissions vision and 2030 near-term climate targets were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions targets using 2022 as the base year. The company received an A- rating in the CDP climate assessment for the second consecutive year, and in 2025 received an A rating in the CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment.
Affected by business expansion, the Company’s total carbon emissions increased year-on-year to 1.3409 million tonnes of CO2e (+16% YoY), including Scope 1 emissions of 10,600 tonnes, Scope 2 emissions of 15,300 tonnes, and Scope 3 emissions of 1.315 million tonnes. Scope 1+2 emissions intensity per unit of revenue decreased by 44%, while Scope 3 emissions intensity per unit of revenue decreased by 28%.
The proportion of renewable energy in the self-operated segment has increased from 39% to 72%; the proportion of renewable energy procurement in the supply chain is 22% (with a target of 50% by 2030); by 2025, transportation emissions are expected to decrease by 6% year-on-year, with a reduction in air transport and an increase in sea transport.
Circular Economy
Amer Sports advances circular practices through its business model, including repair and resale services, as well as by improving resource efficiency and using preferred or recycled materials.
In 2025, the proportion of recycled materials in apparel and footwear will reach 19.3%, and the proportion of renewable materials will reach 6.5%; self-operated waste will be 17,100 tons, with a recycling rate of 34% (targeting 70% by 2030).
In 2025, the company's brands will implement multiple initiatives for a circular economy.

Amer Sports has nearly 15,400 own employees. Employee engagement, health and safety, and anti-harassment training have been fully implemented. 98% of employees have completed the Code of Conduct training, and the company has achieved diversity and inclusion across multiple dimensions.
For labor in the value chain, in 2025 audits covered 99% of Tier 1 suppliers; 83% of Tier 1 suppliers were rated A/B and 4% were rated D/E. In addition, 99% of Tier 1 suppliers and 100% of Tier 2 suppliers signed the Supplier Code of Conduct, benchmarked against FLA (Fair Labor Association) standards, covering areas including child labor, forced labor, wages and working hours, and health and safety.
