Yi Jing X9 Comes Standard With Huawei Qiankun In-Vehicle Light
On June 8, Gasgoo learned that the Yijing X9, jointly launched by Dongfeng Motor Group and Huawei, comes standard with Huawei Qiankun in-vehicle optical technology, with all technical details of the technology also disclosed.
The X9 is equipped with Huawei's Qian Kun automotive optical products, including the HUAWEI XPIXEL million-pixel smart projection headlights, which can adjust high beams in the driver’s eye area of oncoming vehicles, providing steering indications, pedestrian alerts, and a "Galaxy Steps" welcome light display.
HUAWEI XSCENE car-mounted laser projection, with a contrast ratio of 2000:1, color gamut of 98%, certified by TÜV Rheinland for blue light, supports wireless transmission of mobile content and viewing modes including single, dual, and dynamic island.
HUAWEI XHUD augmented reality head-up display overlays real-time information such as navigation arrows, speed limits, and distance to the vehicle ahead onto the real-world view, while also displaying the perception and decision-making processes of the Qiankun Intelligent Driving system.

It is reported that since 2021, Huawei has been transferring technologies from the optical communications field to the automotive industry, successively launching three types of products: intelligent HUDs, intelligent vehicle lights, and in-vehicle projection systems. The Yijing X9 is equipped with all three of these in-vehicle optical systems.
Both parties adopted a full-stack native co-creation model, starting from the product definition phase to jointly conduct user demand research, scenario design, prototype iteration, and testing validation. To this end, a research and development team was formed, consisting of about 5,000 people, with an investment of over 10 billion yuan. In the development of specific components, the front light strip of the Yijing X9 is 1.83 meters long, and the team spent 11 months and modified 52 versions of the plan to achieve a seamless and uniform light effect; the tail light uses 1,172 miniature light beads, supporting multi-scenario intelligent lighting communication.
Yijing Automobile stated that the automotive optical technology from Huawei's Wuhan Research Institute is part of the technology equipped in its models, and more technological information from Huawei's other research and development bases will be announced later.
