China's Automobile Exports to Venezuela Increase by 130%, Chinese-Made Cars in High Demand in Latin America
According to data provided by Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association, from January to November 2025, China exported 17,099 vehicles to Venezuela, with a growth rate of 130%. Among them, 10,201 passenger cars were exported, showing a growth rate of 166%, and 1,481 trucks were exported, with a growth rate of 99%. Previously, according to public information from the Ministry of Commerce's website, the Venezuelan newspaper "Bank and Business Report" reported in October 2024 that Gonzalez, the president of JAC Motors Venezuela, stated that the new car market sales in Venezuela were expected to be around 17,000 to 18,000 units in 2024 and could rise to 30,000 units in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 70%. Roberto, the distributor for Changan Motors in Venezuela, also mentioned that Changan ranked third in the new passenger car market in Venezuela at that time, and it was expected that sales in Venezuela would increase to 2,500 units in 2025, with a year-on-year growth of 15% to 20%. Information from the website also showed that the JAC brand accounted for approximately 27% of the new car market share in Venezuela at that time, with the main models being pickups and trucks. 95% of JAC vehicles were assembled locally in Venezuela, with a monthly assembly capacity of about 500 units.
