Kunming Regenerated Resources (Group) Co., Ltd., formerly known as Kunming City Material Recycling Company and Kunming City Regenerated Resources Corporation, was established in 1955 and is affiliated with the Kunming City Supply and Marketing Cooperative Federation. In June 2008, after restructuring, it was renamed "Kunming Regenerated Resources (Group) Co., Ltd." with a registered capital of 10 million yuan. The company mainly engages in the acquisition, sales, and smelting processing of production-related scrap metals; the acquisition, processing, and sales of waste paper, rubber, surplus materials from units, and other scrap materials; the recovery and operation business of various types of scrapped vehicles; property leasing; and the management and operation of enterprises. From the era of planned economy to the market economy, it has played a leading and specialized role in the recycling and operation of the city's regenerated resources industry. Since 2000, it has successively established seven waste material recovery, preliminary processing bases, and trading markets.
