Xpeng Motors Establishes General Intelligence Center Integrating Autonomous Driving, Smart Cockpit Departments
Recently, XPeng Motors announced the integration of its original "Autonomous Driving Center" and "Intelligent Cockpit Center" into a single first-level department called the "General Intelligence Center." This center will be led by Liu Xianming, the former head of autonomous driving, and will report directly to Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng. According to sources close to Xpeng, the General Intelligence Center is a new AI organization focused on "automotive + robotics" scenarios. Its AI technology platform will uniformly support multiple application-layer businesses such as intelligent driving, intelligent cockpits, and robots in the future. Previously, He Xiaopeng announced that Xpeng will usher in the landing and mass production of physical AI in 2026, including humanoid robots and flying cars.

National Mandatory Standard Issued: "Safety Technical Requirements for Automobile Door Handles" to be Implemented From 2027
The State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China have jointly approved the "Safety Technical Requirements for Automobile Door Handles" (GB48001-2026), which will come into effect on January 1, 2027. The standard mandates that exterior door handles must be equipped with a mechanical release device, interior door handles must enable independent mechanical operation, and exterior door handles must withstand a pulling force of 500 Newtons. Interior door handles must withstand different pulling forces depending on their type, and their installation position must comply with ergonomic principles.
